Welcome to the World of Grossology.

Grossology oozes with fun learning for the entire family.

Grossology traveling exhibitions are based upon the best-selling Grossology children’s book series by science teacher Sylvia Branzei, a subject so popular a new series of Grossology books will be published next year. The exhibitions are a physical extension of the books and offer a fresh take on gross (yet scientific) things that people and animals do. Grossology is science in disguise, using interactive play to introduce young people to the world of biology. The exhibitions feature sophisticated animatronics and imaginative animated characters to engage visitors. Kids love the gross stuff, adults like the scientific explanations, and everyone loves to become a grossologist. And that’s precisely the idea – it’s fun, it’s interactive, and it’s educational!

Cartoon boogers - green blobs

Sometimes it’s stinky; sometimes it’s crusty; and sometimes it’s slimy. But hey, it’s your body.

Designed and fabricated by Advanced Exhibits, based on the beloved book series by Sylvia Branzei. Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body exhibition is a unique edutainment attraction breaking long-standing attendance figures at science centers, museums and theme parks all over the world. Kids discover the science behind the stinky, slimy, and offensive workings of the human body in all its grossness. Burps, snot, barf, zits & smelly feet have never been this much fun.

"The highlight for [my girls] was watching the ginormous snot ball fall from his faucet nose.”

Who knew that animals could be so yucky and so much fun?!

Our companion exhibition, Animal Grossology: The Science of Creatures Gross and Disgusting is equally engrossing. Animal Grossology brings to life all the gritty and gross facts on some of nature‘s most repulsive critters. From the moment guests enter the Animal Grossology Exhibition they are swept into the world of everything gross! From learning how cows digest food to seeing what strange things people eat around the world to investigating owl poop, this exhibition will engage all the senses as it takes kids on a fun learning adventure! Behind every exhibit is a concept presented in humorous yet scientifically accurate content.

“It definitely exceeded our expectations. Our whole family loved it – it’s an exhibit for all ages.”

“My favorite part of the exhibit is probably the snot faucet and the skin rock wall. The rock wall is fun and the snot faucet is just funny.”

“We had such a silly and interesting time at the Animal Grossology exhibit.”

“‘Animal Grossology’ does a great job of turning something so disgusting into a fun learning experience.”

“Boogers and farts — we’ve been excited! It’s super awesome for little kids. I really appreciate the science aspect.”

“It was really fabulous that it was so interactive! I think that really engaged the kids! I think children that can read, up through Jr. High would be an ideal age to be entertained and still absorb the scientific principals being explored.”
