gross, entertaining & educational

ALL AT THE SAME TIME

GROSSOLOGY has created quite a buzz in every community we’ve visited, exciting visitors and generating tremendous media coverage.

Grossology Traveling Exhibitions teach the science of disgusting bodily functions in a colorful, interactive, amusing way that makes learning fun for kids.

Designed and fabricated by Advanced Exhibits, based on the beloved book by Sylvia Branzei. GROSSOLOGY: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body exhibition is a unique edutainment attraction breaking long-standing attendance figures at science centers, museums and theme parks all over the world.

Learning at its grossest

The exhibition is a physical extension of the book and explains to children ages 6 to 14 how and why their bodies produce mushy, oozy, crusty, scaly, stinky things that many people think are gross. This colorful exhibition uses sophisticated animatronics and imaginative exhibits to actively engage visitors. Learning is achieved through the use of interactive experiences, challenges and just plain fun.

In GROSSOLOGY, visitors will take a “Tour du Nose” to explore 10 nasal features, including how noses act as an air filter, a smell sensor and a mucus producer. Mimic the buildup of acid indigestion by causing the “Burp Machine” to release a giant belch. Explore the role of the kidney in a virtual reality experience in “Urine: The Game.” Take a ride on the GI slide, climb a large-scale replica of human skin and discover other mysterious ways human body’s biology does what it needs to in order stay healthy.

Inpires giggles!

Parents and educators enjoy the rip-roaring laughter as mini-jokesters discover the science behind the stinky, slimy, and offensive waste products of the human body.

The exhibition brings favorite characters from the book, like Burp Man, to life, creating a hands-on learning experience.
